The plant that won't die
When I closed out the garden ahead of a hard freeze, I brought all my porch plants inside, including my cherry tomato plant.
As usually happens, most of the herbs don't like the transition, and either died or went dormant. I figured the same thing would happen to the tomato plant as soon as I got the ripe fruits off it.
Well, guess again.
Despite my intentional neglect, the darn thing is surviving. The green tomatoes are ripening. In fact, the darn thing is blooming!
So, who knows ... maybe I'll have tomatoes in my salad all winter. We'll see.
Oh, yeah, guess this means I have to water it more often...
